Surgical procedures: A The mouse is positioned in a prone position. B A 2 mm incision is made centrally, approximately 2 mm above the calcaneus. C The Achilles tendon and calcaneus are exposed. D A transverse calcaneus tunnel is perforated using a 30-G insulin needle. E A 6-0 absorbable suture is passed through the bone tunnel to suture the left part of the Achilles tendon, starting from the bottom and moving upwards.
