Apoptotic (red), necrotic (green) and healthy (blue) cell staining in tendon-derived cells (A) and osteoblast-like cells (B) in 3D gels demonstrated apoptosis (red stained cells) to be the main mechanism of cell death at TXA 100 mg/mL with 3 h exposure and at 35 mg/mL and above with 24 h exposure, with a dose-dependent response
