Perfusion imaging of the ascending branch of the femoral trophoblastic arteries. Perfusion imaging after ligation of the internal and external arteries at the origin of the deep femoral artery revealed that the ascending branch of the nutrient artery of the femoral shaft follows the medullary cavity of the femoral shaft, and that superior and inferior retinacular arteries communicate at the base of the femoral neck and at the femoral neck, and ultimately extend within the femoral head
