A 60-year-old male patient (a, b, c, and d) of the dissatisfied group at 6-month and 1-year follow-up developed numbness and weakness in his four extremities for 1 year, together with unbalance gait for 3 months. After the operation, his JOA scores improved from 9.7 pre-operation to 14.6 post-operation but he suffered from severe axial pain for 9 months which seriously affected the quality of life
