After initial spanning external fixation and surgical debridement, the patient was taken back to the operating room the next day for definitive surgical management by reamed intramedullary interlocking nail fixation (A, B), repeat surgical debridement (C), and soft tissue coverage by free microvascular gracilis flap in the same session (D).
