Postoperative x rays (A, B) of a distal tibial fracture resulting from torional force, that has been treated with fixation of the fibula according to the AO principles. Sublaxation of the ankle joint was revealed after removal of the unilateral external fixator (Γ, Δ). It has been treated with aplication of an Ilizarov device (E, ΣT) for a gradual reduction of the subluxation with the proper placement of device's bars (Z).
