Pasteurized bone with (MC+; FGF2-) at 12 weeks after grafting shows the grafted bone (left part) and the host bone (right part). Completely absorbed pasteurized bone has been replaced by fibrous tissue (A, B, C). The residual pasteurized bone with empty lacunae is embedded in the fibrous tissue (D).
