Immunohistochemical staining of PGP 9.5 at 6 months after surgery. The intact AF showed sparsely PGP 9.5-positive nerves distributed within the outermost layers of the AF (a). The punctured disc exhibited positive staining for PGP 9.5 scattered in superficial areas of the scar tissue (b).
