a Infection in an 18-year-old female after resection of the distal femoral osteosarcoma and reconstruction with a megaprosthesis. After removal of the prosthesis and debridement, antibiotic cementing and knee arthrodesis were performed to cure the infection, but the remaining proximal femur was short. b X-ray immediately after reconstruction of the allograft prosthetic composite. Cement fixation and additional plate fixation were also performed. c Three years post-operatively, the host bone and allograft fused, and no aseptic loosening was observed
