a–c Preoperative CT, and MRI showed that L4–L5 pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis and lesion around vertebral body of L4–L5 developed paravertebral abscess with bony destruction.The abscess involved into the spinal canal with cord compromise resulted in neurologic deficit. d–g Postoperative radiographs and CT showed that interbody graft using titanium mesh cage, posterior short-segmental instrumentation and fusion. Postoperative MRI showed completely resolution of epidural abscess and decompression of neural component. h, i Final follow-up radiographs and CT showed good bone fusion
