When the soft tissue tension is natively, 3 mm or 4 mm bearing can be selected if the gap of tibial-femoral component is between 3 and 4 mm, and the final tension will be slightly greater than or less than the native tension. However, when the gap is less than 3 mm, since the thinnest spacer is 3 mm, the final tension will be greater than the native tension, and there may be a significant increase (when the gap is ≤ 2 mm)
