Acquisition of porcine and chicken tendons. A The porcine flexor digitorums tendons were removed from the attachment of phalangette to the cross of tendons. Each porcine hind-leg can get two flexor digitorum profundus tendons which were about 8–10 cm. B The chicken flexor digitorums tendons were removed from the cross of tendons to the attachment of the third digit. The rest of the soft tissue around the tendon needs to be removed carefully and the tendons were irrigated with saline to keep the surface moist
