The intraoperative ultrasonography shows the relationship of the tendon, the SN, and the SSV at different levels from the insertion of the tendon on the calcaneus. It demonstrates that the SSV passes along the medial side of the SN. The distance between tendon and the SSV is shorter from the insertion of the tendon to the proximal side.
