Quantitative real-time PCR analysis was performed for relative mRNA expression of genes that were involved in the cartilage catabolism in control and case study. Quantitative analysis suggested that expression of ASPN and COMP genes upregulated in case group compared to their respective control. β-Actin served as housekeeping gene for normalization.
