A 62-year-old female patient. The preoperative anterior-posterior view showed stage 3b varus ankle osteoarthritis (a). The patient was treated with supramalleolar osteotomy and medial distraction arthroplasty (b). The 1-year postoperative scan showed normal alignment of the ankle joint; the talar tilt angle was decreased to 1.7°, and the modified Takakura stage was improved to stage 1 (c)
