Effect of simvastatin on the viability of the motor neuron following ischemia–reperfusion injury. Effect of OGD and simvastatin on the viability of motor neuron was assessed with WST-8 assay. OGD resulted in marked reduction of cellular viability. Simvastatin, treated at the indicated concentrations, resulted in an increase in cell survival, particularly at 1 and 10 μM.
