Top panel represents digital photographs of 200-μm thick sections (bar = 1 mm); bottom panel are representatives H&E histological sections from the boxed metaphyseal regions of the top panel (bar = 100 μm). The trabecular bone volume at the metaphyseal region of the tibiae in the OVX group had reduced markedly; both OPG-Fc and ALN-treated groups had greater bone volumes than that in the OVX group; and the OPG-Fc+ALN-treated group had the greatest bone volumes, which appeared to be even greater than that in the sham group.
